Osteopathy was founded by Andrew Taylor Still and is based on the principles that the body, mind and spirit works as a unit and all structures and functions are interrelated.
Osteopathy is a manual therapy that specialises in the diagnosis, management, treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal and other related disorders.
An osteopath works to treat not only the symptoms but also finding a cause of a musculoskeletal dysfunction. Combining techniques such as manipulation, joint movement and massage with exercise and advice an osteopath promotes and assists body’s own healing mechanism.
